Graphic Recording in June

June has been a VERY busy month in the Handstand HQ. IDEA had its Annual Conference and AGM which occupied some time. I also went on holidays and found some time to do some graphic recording jobs. Both events were facilitated by Chris Chapman of Change Exploratory
First, I was at the second day of a weekend that brought the Green Party together to "Regather and Refocus". It was done in about 15 minutes based on a harvest from a café-type discussion with about 100 people, I synthesised the harvest into 7 or 8 main themes (black) and added some detail (blue).
The second image is a graphic recording of a World Café event on 19th June organised by Dublin Community Growers as part of Convergence 2011. One of the aims was to bring community gardeners together to discuss a shared vision for CGs in Dublin. There are so many community gardens in the Dublin area! It is very encouraging to see so many new ones (and allotments) emerging and also to see that there are some that have been in existence for years and have survived all the recent tumult. A very informative google map of these gardens has been created and you can see it here.
I also went along to the Trócaire Human Rights Summer School for young people last week and recorded some of their discussion about Consumerism and Human Rights, again very quickly. Photo will be posted up soon...
