Deep Dive: A Learning Adventure for Change Makers

I was very lucky to be part of an inspiring weekend last November (can't believe its 2 months ago now!) in the eco-village in Cloughjordan. It was organised and hosted by Chris Chapman (Change Exploratory), Davie Philips (Cultivate) and Deborah Frieze (Berkana Exchange and co-author of Walk Out Walk On). 30 other inspirational people joined the hosts for 3 days of exploration and learning.

I was graphically recording the learning (as well as participating!). You can see some of the pictures here. I also have been working on a digital harvest to bring all the photos, videos, text and graphics together into one shareable presentation. I'm using Prezi, and learning about its potential as I go. It is a great tool, still not sure I love it though.... You can see my efforts here:

Wave Change Graphic Recording

Ideas for Changing Ireland!
I was at a second Wave Change Weekend in Dublin in December, facilitating some science-themed ice-breakers (we were in the wonderful Science Gallery) and graphically recording discussion from the young people on what is great about ireland, what needs to change and what we can do. Very inspiring it was too, I was struck by how thoughtful and insightful the group were, especially around health and wellbeing. Some of their comments about how our education system should teach us to relate to each other better really stayed with me... good stuff all round!
